Putter Grip

WE SHOW YOU

THE PERFECT GRIP

Just like a glove should fit perfectly, the grip must also fit the respective hand perfectly. That’s why Kramski offers 5 different grip sizes (S/M/L/XL/XXL), each in different colors. But besides the fitting grip, there are also different methods to hold the grip of the putter and to avoid uncontrolled putting

In the Kramski Putting Academy, the dependencies of grip and ball position are taught in a one-day seminar. However, we would like to give you a small insight already here.

Putter grip

(Double) Reverse Overlapping

It is important that right-handers always hold the putting handle in the same place with their left hand at the top of the handle. (Left-handers opposite).

Check the position carefully. The index finger of the left hand is above the little finger of the right hand. (Photo A + B = Reverse Overlapping grip)

Also recommended: Double Reverse Overlapping grip.

It is often advised to hold the putter with light pressure. Our tests have proven the opposite. It is better to build up medium to strong pressure with both hands before the backswing, especially for short to medium putts up to ten meters. This prevents unintentional twisting of the hands at the last moment. Only the shoulders are allowed to rotate.

The slightest twist in the wrist means that the square position is lost. There are some grip types, such as claw grip or cross-hand grip, which we do not recommend.

Putter grip

in the liveline

Another good method, is the putter grip in the lifeline. Here it is rather possible to use the wrists slightly, but not recommended, because you risk losing length control!

REMINDER

Build up pressure before the backswing, and do not use wrists!

„Yesterday the Kramski has struck again!!! 8 birdies and thus at the end a 66 round! 23 putts! The best round of my life! 6th place on the Ladies European Access Tour. Love Caroline.“
